I'm back finally!!!!

I have been really busy with work n home. Manage to fine some time to make some miniatures. Hope I can find more time to do more.

I made a 1:12, 2 seater sofa chair and some soda drinks in 1:3.

Will need to redo the seat cushion and make some throw cushion.

the orangy wan is Sinalco. One of my favorite soft drink.

The blue wan is Big blue from Pepsi .

Sorry! I have been missing from the scene for a long long time. Have been really busy with work and home.

Had a major renovation at home and that took up lots of my time. Doing the packing to move ll the things out to the storage, shopping for supplies like tiles, furniture. After the Reno, it's the moving back and unpacking. That was really tiring on top of my stressful and taxing job running operations and a new system role out which kept me busy since August 2010. I am craving for more time to the miniature world.

Just bought some Martha Stewart acrylic paint and some colorful glue stick. Hope to squeeze more time to get my hands on making some stuff.

Some work in progress now. Hope to finish them soon and show u guys!

My miniature collection

I have no updates for quite along while. I have been busy shopping n working with my interior designer to give my house a major face lift. So, I am now starting to pack up my stuff into boxes to be sent to temporary store. I will also need to move out of my house for a month. Will be kept busy for a long while. While packing I tot I want to share with all of you my  old collection of cups n plates in probably 1/3, 1/4 n 1/6 scale.  The large hello Kitty mug is my coffee mug.

Real Mini Cupcake

These are real cupcakes I made. This is my first time piping cream. I bought the Wilton icing to try before I invest in buying all the ingredients to make the cream myself.

I am quite satisfied with the results. Next I will try piping in Miniature clay cupcake. Only issue is how to make such a small tip??? Are there tips good for 1:12 out there???? Please let me know if you know where I can get them.

Some pics fr my outstation in Tokyo

These was taken in one of my favorite sushi shop near my office at Nihonbashi. The chef could speak decent English and made things a lot easier for colleagues and me. His sushi is very fresh and made on the spot. These was taken end of last year which I didn't get to upload. There are slot more which I will try to upload soon.

The first 3 pics were taken during dinner on the last day of my children's holiday in Tokyo at a authentic Japanese restaurant in Ginza. The sashimi melts in your mouth. Yummy. The rest was taken in Tokyo Disneyland and I love the way the food were made.

Sugar Candy Biscuit

When I was a kid, I love this little biscuit. These are also use in prayers by some Chinese during the lunar 7th month. It's called the Hungry Ghost Festival and it will last for a month. Today happen to be the 1st day of the Hungry Ghost Festival and I saw people praying on the streets.

Thought it will be interesting to make some of this. So, I bought a packet of the biscuit as a guide.

They are normally sold by weight. So, I bought a packet.

Completed giving the watering can a few coats of gloss.

I made the rose (sorry for some dust on the flower). Should'nt work in e night.

The chocolate rose tart was made sometime back and the merigue sweets was made recently.

I will try to a cuppa of milk shake to match this scene. It's summer !
